    Cardinals(+260) @ Commanders(-325): O/U 38.0
    Commanders -7.0 (-110), Cardinals +7.0(-110)

The Washington Commanders open their season at home as heavy favorites against the Arizona Cardinals. The Commanders start another season with a new starting quarterback in Sam Howell. Howell is surrounded by a solid group of offensive weapons and a new offensive coordinator in Eric Bieniemy. The Cardinals open their season with major question marks on whether they are even attempting to compete this season.

    Main Storylines to Watch

How does the Commanders’ offense look under Eric Bieniemy? Eric Bieniemy has had a ton of success as Kansas City Chief’s offensive coordinator under head coach Andy Reid and all-pro QB Patrick Mahomes. Bieniemy is on his own now and it should be interesting to see how this offense is run without an all-pro, future hall-of-fame quarterback. The new offense will be centered around second-year quarterback Sam Howell. If Howell can get the ball out quickly to all of his offensive weapons, this offense could surprise many.

Will the Cardinals have a fantasy-relevant offense? Kyler Murray is out for at least four games as he recovers from last season’s knee injury. Instead of keeping veteran QB Colt McCoy, the Cardinals opted to start the year with veteran, journeyman Joshua Dobbs and rookie Clayton Tune as the quarterback options. Deandre Hopkins was traded this offseason leaving Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore as the projected target leaders in the receiving game. James Conner has been a solid option in past years, but if the offense sputters behind poor quarterback play, Conner’s scoring opportunities could be few and far between.
