We’ll look into the slate of two-start pitchers who are under 70% rostered each week and make some suggestions that are hopefully available on the waiver wire to fill out your fantasy baseball roster.

Here we are, this year’s final installment of two-start pitcher plays. Congratulations if you’re done and took home a championship. But I’m guessing if you’re here, you’re among those of us with matchups still going on who are pulling our hair out trying to scratch and claw out starts for the final week of the season.

Just be sure to check with FanGraphs’ Probables Grid and the MLB Probable Pitchers, as things can change quickly with teams shuffling rotations and doing all kinds of weird stuff this week.

The Main Plays

Michael King RHP (NYY) – @TOR, @KCR

How can we not start Michael King this week after the performance he’s put on this last month of the season? He comes into his two-start week with a 1.27 ERA and a wild 34.2 percent K-BB% in six starts since the end of August. Those numbers were helped out by his most recent outing against the Blue Jays, who looked completely lost against the righty. He struck out 13(!) over seven innings, scattering five hits and giving up just one run.

Guess what? He gets the Jays again, this time in Toronto, where they have not been great this season. They have the eighth-worst wOBA(.314) and a 102 wRC+ when playing at home at the Rogers Centre. King follows that up with a start in Kansas City against the Royals, who are also playing out the string on the season and have a 17th-ranked .320 wOBA at home.
